People disrespecting musicians, saying that they are not ”genuine artists” without actually knowing what it takes to be a musician.

Anyone’s opinion is their own. For me, I want to see a passion for music, and the most obvious form of this is through sacrifice.

Sacrifice? I’m pretty sure the artists in question sacrifice their lives for music… They have practically no free time..

Wonder Girls are pretty much in a different category though… Put themselves in an entirely foreign environment and had to make accommodations to fit into it.

this is what i think, there is more to being an artist than just singing a song you were given to by a producer to make some $$$. What I consider a true artist is having pure RAW talent, not something that is manufactured by some company to be sold of as products. That’s why in Korea there is this predijust aganist idols compared with real singers. Thats why idols are called idols and not actually singers. Idols are entertainers, they’re trained to learn who to please fans, sing, dance, acting mc etcc…. While real singers just sing, that’s all they focus on is singing. NOTE: this does not apply to some idols, because I know their are a few idols who have raw talent and are just as talented as ”real” singers. Anyone can make a crap some and call themselves an artist but it takes a REAL artist to create a song with passion and emotion. Just like how anyone can call themselves a singer but if you can’t even convey the emotions of the song then its basically like your talking with some background music. It takes a real singer to sing with emotion and a real arist to put every bit of passion and emotion in to a song/composition. You can just tell if an artist is passionate about their music because when you listen to their music you know that put 500% in to that one song. Like GDragon, I am not fond of him but I will not deny that he is a true artist, one of the few idols that can be considered a muscian. Kanye is a douche bag but I will not deny that he composes great songs. Ke$sha has great songs catchy songs but I can’t help but think she’s a joke. You can be the greatest singer in the world, but it won’t mean anything if you can’t sing with emotion. You can create a few catchy songs make a few $$$ but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re an artist. You can be an actor but if you can convey the emotions in a scene, are you really a great actor? Wonder Girls individually, SOME I don’t consider an artist – Yeeun and SunYe I consider as true musician’s for the fact that they just ooze pure raw talent. Sunye always sings with emotion that I sometimes cry, Yeeun is a great singer and compose beautiful songs. Sohee from what I’ve seen, seems that she can be a great actor, plus she seems more comfortable with acting. She did a great job in ”I like it Hot”. Wonder Girls as a whole I consider them as amazing performers that ooze out charisma and put 101% into their performances.
