Today I wanted to share some pictures I scanned of the Wonder Girls from the December 2007 issue of the Korean pop magazine INTERVIEW. I bought the pictures off of Ebay. At first I thought it was the entire magazine I was buying but it turned out only to be clippings of just the Wonder Girls. It’s still pretty cool to have and look at. For me, it’s the first time I have ever seen these pictures.

Today on Twitter, one of my followers was tweeting youtube vids of Hyuna and IU imitating Pikachu(most famous pokemon ever!) The videos got me thinking, which KPOP idol imitates Pikachu the best??? Judge for yourself….

June is almost here,is everyone excited!? If not, you better hurry and get excited!
Okay, before I go any further, let me explain the title of this blog, “The Next Wonder Girls.”
As we all know, the Wonder Girls are one of the most famous and loved groups in all of Korea. They have put out countless smash hits such as Tell Me, Nobody, Be My Baby, sold countless albums, and have toured almost the entire world.
With that being said, I was thinking…what girl group from S.Korea has the potential to be “The Next Wonder Girls?”
In my mind there are TWO groups that I feel have the potential and ability to become REALLY popular and REALLY successful. Maybe some of you are thinking….2NE1 and Girl’s Generation? Both of those groups are already just as big, successful, and popular as the Wonder Girls but they are not the groups I am thinking about….
Okay for the first group I am thinking about….
Girl’s Day
Girl’s Day is a five member group consisting of members Yura, Minah, Sojin,Jihae, and Hyeri. They are under the lable Dream Tea Entertainment. They debuted back in 2010 and are still fairly new. They have put out a few catchy hit songs such as Nothing Last Forever, Twinkle Twinkle, and of recent Oh! My God. Girl’s Day has also received some success in the Japanese music market.
I think what really sets this group apart from other groups is their individual charm(just like the Wonder Girls)their catchy electronic pop sound, and it seems as if all the girls of the group are really down to earth and humble….hmmmm just like the Wonder Girls. I think if their management company promoted them better(not that they are not trying to) and is able to expand their sound and image, they could be a lot more successful.
They are still a young group and have a lot of growing to do, I wish them the best and I am looking forward to see what the future holds for them! Until then, the world better watch out for the return of the Wonder Girls!

You never know where advice will come from. Advice comes in all shapes and sizes. It’s all around us, you just have to listen carefully. Listen to the good advice and listen to the bad advice. The choices you make are up to you.
The other day I was at the gym, I was shooting some hoops(practicing basketball). It was a slow day at the gym, I was the only one at the basketball courts. An older guy(probably in his 70′s) came to courts. I knew the guy, he was a regular member of the gym. We both started shooting the basketball together. Now this older guy is full of energy, you wouldnt believe how old he is by how he carries himself. He may be old, but he has kept his mind young. Something he said to me that day really stuck with me, he told me “take some advice from an old guy, never quit.” It’s one thing to always hear this advice but to hear this advice from someone who has been on this Earth much more longer than me or anyone I know and who has probably been through and seen a lot just strikes a chord with me.
That same day when I had left the gym and was waiting at the bus stop, there was this homeless man just talking loud and shouting. Most people were ignoring him, many people walked by not even paying attention to his existence. I had my headphones on and was listening to music. I could tell by the homeless man’s body language that he was yelling loud and getting angry, making a sort of plea to anyone who would listen. I took off my headphones so I could clearly make out what he was saying. The homeless man kept shouting and repeating the same phrase over and over….”REMEMBER, JESUS LOVES YOU, YOU ARE PERFECT IN HIS EYES, AND REMEMBER YOU ARE BETTER THAN YOU THINK, YOU ARE BETTER THAN YOU THINK!”

If you dont hear it from your parents, from your teachers, from your friends, hear it from me. Remember somone loves you, you are perfect in their eyes, and you are better than you think.
Oh yea and take some advice from an old guy, never quit.
So today I had some free time to spend and I spent it all making memes. I did the same thing i did with Wonder Girls LOLZ but instead of using Wonder Girls pictures, I used the memes that were provided and tied in some kpop. Remember, everything here is just for laughs, hope you enjoy. Oh, and one more thing, watch out, i hear there’s a evil raccoon running around here…

Recently(Jan.12th) Wonder Girls member Lim held a Q&A session with her fans and followers on Twitter! I was lucky enough to have Lim respond to one of my tweets. She is so kind to take time from her busy schedule and answers questions from her fans. I wanted to share some of the questions asked and answers given by Lim. Some of the questions were quite interesting and some were really funny. So in case you don’t use Twitter, here’s what you missed….
Lim really made my day by responding, I was on a bus when I read her response. It made me laugh and smile cause I was surprised that she responded to me.

Today I’ve been listening to a ton of Kpop piano covers on youtube. Some of them great, some of them not so great…haha but anyways I really enjoying listening to the piano. Something about the sound it makes is so soothing and calm, I could listen to it all day. I really envy those who can play it!
Instead of spamming Fantastics wall with youtube vids i decided just to make a blog with some of the videos i have been watching. Listening to these talented people perform cover songs of Kpop on the piano really puts a whole new spin to the songs. Take away the lyrics, take away the faces, take away the dances, take away the companies, and what you have left is truly pure MUSIC. Something we can all enjoy and love! =)
So today I was online reading different K-pop articles from various website’s when I happened to stumble across an article that kind of made me upset.
I was reading an article that was bashing a member of a certain girl group about her physical appearance. The things that were said seemed quite harsh…
“Look, it’s because they don’t want anybody to look at you. Personally though, I would make her lower half as colorful and loud as possible. If for nothing else than to draw attention away from her face. Speaking of which, it’s a walking example of how plastic surgery will not make you pretty.”
If you own your own website and write your own articles you are free to write whatever you please(I’m all for freedom of speech) but it’s one thing to judge someone’s performance, actions, and behavior, but when you start belittling one’s physical appearance, you are crossing the line.
Not to point the finger or pick on one website but it seems like articles like this are always popping up all over the place on different sites. The world would be a better place without these troll articles. There is a difference between healthy criticism and negative criticism…
“Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a person’s growth without destroying their roots.”
Don’t point out others physical “faults” because you wouldn’t like anyone pointing out your “faults”. I don’t understand why some people would rather “tear down” rather than “build up” but I guess trolls will be trolls. =p

How is everyone doing? Hope all is well and fine with you and your loved ones. I want to take this time to focus on other groups and artist out there.
Im sure many of you here are familiar with Kpop(lol understatement of the year), but are you familiar with other music from around the world? Are you familiar with the singer Thanida Dhamwimol? If not, then here we go!(using my super mario voice =p)
Thanida Dhamwimol, better known asDa Endorphine is an amazingThai singer. She has a powerful yet soulful voice. She started off in a rock band but later went on a solo career. She has won countless awards and honors and her popularity in Thialand is probably just as big as the Wonder Girls, if not bigger. >_< lol
What makesDaunique from others is that she doesn’t need to rely on fancy gimmicks, she doesn’t need auto-tune or lip syncing when she performs, she rely’s purely on talent. Her music is able to blend Thai and Western music into one.Dasounds just as good live in concert as she does on her Cd’s.(I can only watch and listen to her live performances on DVD, Cd’s, and YouTube since i don’t live in Thailand) Da also knows how to win over the crowd. When she sings, she sings from the heart and soul(something the Wonder Girls also do very well =D )
So please, if you have a few minutes to spare, take some time and listen to her music. Remember, music is universal, you don’t need to understand the language to feel it. I promise you wont be disappointed and who knows, maybe it will introduce you to something you will like and enjoy for a long time. =)

The Dallas Mavericks are my favorite basketball team, they won the NBA Championship this year, 2011. 2+0+11 = 13!
One of my other favorite Dallas Mavericks is Dirk Nowitzki. This year was his 13th season in the NBA. =D
