hmm i just searched Sunmi on NAVER, a korean search engine.
on the Sunmi's profile section,
it says Sunmi (Lee Sunmi) <- meaning the real name is Lee Sunmi.
and the info is said to be given by JYPE.
i always thought Sun was her family name and Mi's her given name.

even on her G.E.D it says LEE SUNMI, in the past she was very private about her family name.
Interesting, I always assumed Sun was her last name, as was widely speculated.
thats a better assumption than some wonderfuls thinking her last name is JJANG... o_O
Sun Mi is her full name, but as most Sun Mii fans should know, her father died before she debuted and her mother remarried. Her fathers last name is Sun so her full name is Sun Mi. However, she has since adapted her step fathers last name and is now Lee Sun Mi, hence she has two last names instead of one.
It's not uncommon, I know at least 5 people with two last name's and one of them is my half brother.
